Our Plan Includes:
- Restoring the masonry of the lower half of the foundation, highlight the poured concrete upper level, and upgrade the fabric of the building
- Build an enclosed fully-accessible walkway into and through the mill building
- Exhibit the retrieved mill office and the milling equipment and artifacts in a safe and preserved manner
- Prepare QR-coded information panels to explain the nature of the exhibits and provide a self-guided tour
- Provide a large map of the watershed highlighting the stories of each of the identified dam and mill sites
- Preparing literature and brochures for educational purposes to explain the importance of mills to the growth and development of watershed communities
Please join us in making this mini-museum an important tribute to the building of our communities and the preservation of our pioneering past.
The creation of the mini-museum needs your support and encouragement. CanadaHelps.org is a way that you can support our project.
