The Maitland Mills Association
Maitland Mills Association Inc., begun in 1996, is a not-for-profit group with charitable status. It is affiliated with the Ontario Historical Society and the Huron County Historical Society. Your contribution will help us to carry out the repairs and re-purposing of the 1850’s Logan Mill in Brussels, Ontario, as a teaching site and a tourist attraction.
After numerous starts and stops since 2019, MMA has overcome the final barrier preventing restoration of the Logan Mill on the Maitland River. Previous ownership by The Maitland Valley Conservation Authority effectively precluded outside groups from creating a self-guided mill museum in the 1915 structure, one of the last of its kind left out of over 65 that once existed on the Maitland River watershed. This change of ownership is a significant step forward for revitalization and new use of the mill.
